If you ever read my old blog , which isn’t around anymore by the way, then you probably know that I wasn’t always as thin as I am today. I was actually what nicer people might have called big boned”. And by big boned” I mean I weighed somewhere near 200 pounds at my largest size. I’m still a work in progress, but my journey to loose close to 100 pounds has given me new insight on a lot of things and I’m super excited to share my story and hopefully inspire other women to take control of their health and start living a happy, more fit lifestyle.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying you shouldn’t love who you are, no matter what size, shape or color. But to live a more enjoyable, healthy life, it’s in your best interest to drop a bit of weight and start eating better and exercising. This isn’t a new revelation by any means, but sometimes people just need a kick in the butt or to see the results from someone else who’s been in their shoes. And if that person can be me, then I’m all for it.
One of the questions I’m regularly asked is how did I finally decide to pull the trigger and what did I do to get started losing the weight. I mean I managed to drop about 50 pounds in around 7 months, which is awesome in my book. I started out just trying to cut back on my food portions and walk a couple days a week. This was a great start, but it was like I hit a wall and I needed something more to really kick start the weight loss and burn that fat even quicker. This is when I added supplements to my diet and workouts. I tried a few of the supplement products you find at the local grocery store and didn’t really see any difference in weight loss, that is until I tried something called forskolin extract.
Pure Forskolin Extract Blew Me Away
I’ll be the first to admit that it seems like there’s a scammy diet product hitting the market every month and I was skeptical about forskolin extract when I began using it, but I wasn’t seeing much for results and I figured I had nothing to lose (except more fat, lol) So what exactly is forskolin extract. Put simply it’s an completely natural extract from a plant in the mint family. Asian, as well as Indian cultures have been using it for centuries as a medicinal extract. They found it helps lower blood pressure, increase metabolism, reduce appetite and yes, aid in losing weight. After doing a little research, I discovered that many celebrities and daytime personalities were touting the benefits of pure forskolin and that it was one of the most used weight loss supplements on the market today. Geez, why hadn’t I heard about this stuff sooner.
So since I was still close to 100 pounds too heavy and my walking/diet plan just wasn’t getting it done, I got a free bottle of Apex Vitality Forskolin from their website and gave it a try for myself. Apex Vitality is one of the best, most pure Forskolin products available, so I knew I was getting the real deal, not some low quality substitute.
How Does Forskolin For Weight Loss Work?
It’s actually pretty darn simple. Forskolin contains an enzyme called cAMP ( Cyclic AMP ). This enzyme takes sugar that you consume and converts it into energy instead of allowing it to be converted to fat. Now your body does this with sugar on it’s own, but unless you’re doing a lot of physical activity and your burning all of the sugar you consume, there’s going to be extra sugar left over, which your body naturally makes into fat. Forskolin extract helps prevent your body from doing this. Hence, less fat production and less weight gain. Another neat benefit is that Forskolin decreases the hormones in your body which regulate your eating. So as you feel less hungry, you eat less and weigh less. Pretty basic concept. Even I can wrap my head around that.

You’ve probably read a lot of other pure forskolin extract reviews, wihch include forskolin side effects and possibly negative comments about the forskolin supplement itself. It’s important to keep in mind that everyone will have a different result, even when using the same product. So what works for you many not work for someone else, even if you’re both exercising, dieting and trying to live as healthy as possible. Be sure to consider all of the point of view before you try forskolin extract for yourself.
Does Forskolin Work?
Yes & no. I realize that sounds like a wishy washy response, but it’s quite likely you will see great results after using Forskolin 250mg for just a couple of weeks. But you don’t know until you try it for yourself. The studies of the forskolin plant don’t like. Participants lost more weight while using a forskolin extract supplement compared to those who were on a placebo or given no supplement at all.
So when I got my initial bottle from Apex, I started taking it daily (as directed on the bottle obviously) and within a week noticed that a few additional pounds were gone than from the previous week, with just walking and trying to eat a little less. Withing a few more weeks the pounds were flying off. I was shocked. In addition to taking forskolin, I increased my fitness routine, now walking at least 30 minutes 4 days a week. I had more energy for sure, so this wasn’t even a difficult increase. I was finding that I lost 5-7 pounds every ten days or so. After 6 months I dropped 60 pounds. Today I’m hovering at about 145lbs. I’ll be honest, I stopped taking the Forskolin extract after the 6 month mark, only because it seemed to peak and I wasn’t losing weight as fast as in the beginning. From what I read, this can be pretty common with supplements. But the fact that it helped get my started losing weight and lasted through over 50 pounds is simply amazing. Ideally, I’d like to lose another 15 pounds, and I would be at about the ideal weight for my height. It’s true when they say those last 10 pounds are the hardest. I’m figuring out you really have to work for those.
My Words of Wisdom For You
The first thing you need to do is make the promise to yourself that you are going to commit to eating better and doing some type of outdoor activity. Even if you can only do a couple days a week to start. Just doing something is better than nothing. Walk, jog, hike, push the kids around the block in the stroller, whatever you have to do to get your heart rate up for a few minutes each day. Combine this with a plan to start eating healthier. These two things alone will be your foundation for starting to lose weight. Get a free forskolin trial bottle from Apex Vitality and test it for yourself. Don’t give up on eating right and exercising. I’m firmly convinced that it’s the combination of the diet, fitness & supplements that gives the absolute best results. Take the supplements as directed and see where you stand after a month or 6 weeks. If it’s not working, you may have to rethink your approach and test a different supplement, change your eating habits or increase your fitness plan. Everyone responds differently to weight loss.
